The Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate Temporarily Closes 3 Oil Derivatives Pumps in Northern Kosovo

Prishtinë, 16/07/2024

Today, the Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate, within the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, in cooperation with the Kosovo Privatization Agency, the Kosovo Police and the Tax Administration Inspectors of Kosovo, has carried out a joint action in the northern part of the country.

During this action, 3 points of sale of oil derivatives were temporarily closed to verify the relevant documentation. Market inspectors have discovered that these pumps are carrying out commercial activity without a retail license for Diesel and Petrol.

All entities exercising activities related to petroleum products or renewable fuels must be provided with a valid permit to develop their activity within the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.

Punitive measures will be taken against economic operators who carry out commercial activities by violating the legislation in force.

The Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate will continue inspections in the following days and if violations are found, measures will be taken to prohibit the exercise of the activity as well as other punitive measures in accordance with the applicable legislation.
