Diaspora Investment Window is launched

The launch of the "Diaspora Investment Window" within the framework of the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund, will enable the guarantee of loans for investors from the diaspora who want to invest in Kosovo.
This new loan guarantee program to attract investments from the diaspora is the result of a partnership between the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers and the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund in partnership with the USAID’s Investment Promotion and Access to Finance Activity.
What can diaspora businesses benefit?
Investors from the diaspora will be able to apply for loans up to the value of 3,000,000 euros through Kosovo banks, and their capital participation must be at least 20% or higher.
After the application, if the party fulfills all the criteria, the Kosovar Credit Guarantee Fund will offer guarantees for loans from the diaspora up to the value of 2,000,000 euros.
Additionally, USAID will provide support through incentive grants to a number of businesses whose loans have been pre-secured through the Diaspora Investment Window.
Diaspora businesses, which can promote trade and foreign direct investment, create new businesses and encourage entrepreneurship and transfer new knowledge and skills to our youth are invited to apply.
