Official reaction regarding the CorrWatch statement
Prishtinë,
27/11/2024
Regarding the allegations made by CorrWatch regarding the recruitment process of the General Director of Accreditation within the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MIET), we clarify as follows:
1. Compliance with legislation
The recruitment process was conducted in full compliance with the Law on Public Officials and relevant regulations. Every step followed, including the preliminary verification, was based on the criteria and procedures set out in the vacancy announcement.
2. Prior verification of candidates
The selection committee has conducted a careful evaluation of the candidates’ files, respecting the standards of transparency and professionalism. All candidates included in the shortlist have passed the verification phase according to the established criteria.
3. Stakeholder participation
The process has been open and inclusive. The claim that CorrWatch was not invited to participate in the final stages of the process has no legal basis, as this institution is not part of the selection committees or recruitment procedures.
4. Considerations on cancellation of process
Based on our internal review and consultations with experts in the field, there are no legal reasons for the cancellation of the process. Any claim of violation is well-founded and does not affect the validity of the final results.
MIET remains committed to developing fair, transparent processes and in accordance with applicable legislation. We invite all interested parties, including CorrWatch, to contribute with concrete evidence and not undermine the integrity of a legitimate process through unfounded allegations.
