The Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate today closed 17 entities with various illegal activities

Today, on 15.01.2025, in order to protect the public interest, the Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate (CMSI) within the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police and officials from the Ministry of Local Government Administration, have carried out a wide inspection action in several regions of the Republic of Kosovo, at entities that exercise illegal activities - municipal facilities, post offices, tax offices and all other facilities of parallel institutions.

The joint action has resulted in the inspection of dozens of inspected entities, of which 17 of them have exercised various illegal activities. Therefore, according to the legal competences, the Inspectors of the Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate have closed 17 supervised entities, respectively have prohibited the exercise of their activity throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, due to the failure to register the entities and the lack of consent/decision to meet the minimum technical requirements.

Also, 17 punitive measures have been imposed on the inspected entities that exercised their activity in violation of the laws into force, according to the legislation into force of the Republic of Kosovo.

The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Ms. Rozeta Hajdari, thanked all officials of the Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate, the Kosovo Police and officials of the Ministry of Local Government Administration, for today's very successful action in protecting our country and society.

The Central Market Surveillance Inspectorate will continue its work based on the legislation into force, where the activities carried out and the measures taken aim to ensure that entities and products comply with the legal requirements set out in the relevant legislation and do not endanger health, safety or other issues related to the protection of the public interest, said, among other things, Minister Hajdari.
