Prime Minister Kurti and Minister Hajdari visited the MUNDA KOSOVA production enterprise

The Acting Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Ms. Rozeta Hajdari, together with the Acting Prime Minister Mr. Albin Kurti, participated in the official opening of the German production facility with the new business in our country "MUNDA Kosova" in Obiliq, specialized in the textile lighting industry for the automotive industry and part of the supply chain for world-renowned brands such as Audi.
"MUNDA Kosova" is a joint venture of two German companies, as equal partners - "AUNDE" a leading global automotive supplier with expertise in the field of technical textiles, and "MENTOR" one of Germany's leading specialists in product-integrated lighting, with many years of experience in LED-based lighting technology.
During the visit, they were welcomed by the shareholders Mr. Peter Bolten, owner of "AUNDE", Mr. Wido Weyer and Mr. Dennis Weyer, owners of "MENTOR", Mr. Kai Mauxel, CEO of "MUNDA Kosova", Mr. Kushtrim Grainca, the head of the factory in Kosovo, and the Deputy Ambassador of Germany in Kosovo, Mr. Matthias Conrad.
Minister Hajdari underlined that with an investment value of nearly 7 million euros, "MUNDA Kosova" is an example of the success of investments in a healthy environment for doing business and the efficient use of the competitive potential that our country offers, resulting in strengthening economic cooperation between Kosovo and Germany.
The "MUNDA Kosova" factory currently employs 65 people, of whom 60% are women, while this number is expected to reach 210 employees by 2026.
Among other things, she added, "During this governing mandate, we have introduced reforms to improve the environment for doing business and to promote and protect responsible and sustainable investments in priority industrial sectors, with an impact on economic, social and environmental development in our country. These reforms are noted in the international "Competitiveness in the Western Balkans 2024" report by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the European Union Progress Report for Kosovo and other credible reports related to attracting investments.
As a result, we have a record increase in the registration of businesses with foreign owners, with a total of 4,234 foreign businesses registered with KBRA/MIET, an increase of 44%, compared to the previous four-year period."
