Minister Kusari-Lila met with EU representatives, focusing on the reform agenda

The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, held a meeting with representatives of the European Union Office in Pristina, Eva Palantova, Acting Head of the EU Office in Pristina, Borislaw Gertrud, Head of the Political Section, and Hubert Perr, Minister Counsellor.

During the meeting, the progress that is intended to be achieved within the reform agenda was discussed, where the Minister highlighted the advancement of the Draft Law on Innovation, which is expected to be sent to the Assembly for review, as well as the finalization of the Draft Law on Interest on Late Payments. According to her, these initiatives aim to strengthen the regulatory framework and create a more favorable environment for business development and innovation.

The Minister expressed gratitude for the continued support of the European Union, in particular through the Growth Plan, which she described as an important instrument for accelerating economic development and structural reforms in Kosovo.

The meeting also presented the Ministry's new initiatives, including the concept of new industrial parks designed to support sustainable economic growth, as well as the establishment of the new Enterprise Support Agency, which will have a separate division for women in business and businesses owned by non-majority communities.

The EU representatives appreciated the Ministry's targeted progress and reform-oriented approach, thanking it for its contribution to advancing policies and their implementation. They also emphasized the importance of Kosovo's role in advancing regional integration, especially in the context of its CEFTA chairmanship in 2025.
